Roxane returns to Free Range Art with another opportunity to explore the art of painting with molten beeswax. In this one-day workshop participants will explore the basics of encaustic painting through creative play. Working with collage and wax, you will create two encaustic paintings to make a “diptych” (matched set). Short demonstrations of basic tools, techniques, and step-by-step instruction will be followed by plenty of time devoted to guided hands-on creating.
All levels welcome.

Grafton Art Farm Encaustic Retreat!
We will work on gallery-quality birch wood panels and incorporate various collage materials.
Below is a list of supplies you are welcome to bring to enhance your artwork, though not required.
- Small dried and pressed flowers/leaves
- Permanent markers (black, color or metallic)
