Testimonials

"Roxane's encaustic workshop is amazing! I signed up for one as a gift for my wife's birthday and she was thrilled. We learned so much and Roxane had everything we needed on site. We had such a great time we signed up for another and brought a friend. Roxane is not only a great mentor but loads of fun and a gracious host!"  -Kim C

"I am a fan of Roxane’s encaustic paintings and have been collecting them the past few years.  My favorite ones are scenes overlooking Lake Michigan.”  -Darlene H

"I purchased work from Roxane’s show at Sabrosa in Bay View. It looked so amazing in that space that I had to have it, and it looks even better in the entryway of my home, where I can marvel at it every day." - Laura H.

"My parents, nephew and I took a Valentines workshop with Roxane. Three generations learning new art techniques from such a talented artist and teacher made for a pretty magical memory, complete with priceless keepsakes to boot." - Laura H.

"We not only have purchased a piece of her intriguing and sensitive work but also have enriched ourselves by participating in her encaustic workshop. We found her to be a selfless and generous teacher who joyfully shared her knowledge and experience with us. We’re very grateful." -Kathy HS and Mike S

"The ability to touch souls through your creations is amazing. Thank you for sharing your vision. I own 4 Roxane originals. Yay! Your patron & friend, always." -Mary M.

"My husband and I are proud owners of a few original art pieces of Roxane's.  What we love about her work is that it transcends different styles and therefore is suitable in different home design... plus her work is unique and beautiful. There is something really special about her encaustic as it gives that 3 dimensional quality." -S. Anderson

"Living with one of Roxane's encaustic pieces has been a great source of delight and reflection for us.  Visually "First Light" is stunning - a mix of dark woods, shimmering golden glints on the water, and pale reflections.  We are drawn to representations of nature in art, but Roxane's encaustic art with nature as its subject is subtle and profound.  What her work represents is the inexhaustible depth and mystery of nature."  -Will and Donna Engelmann

"We attended an encaustic (hot wax) workshop with our 6-year-old grandson and had a fun, inspiring experience making keepsake treasures. Roxane is such an enthusiastic, patient teacher."  - Janet, Tom and Desmond
